Transparency

Transparency is easier when you have less to hide.

We do not repair anything, so we have no work to steer you toward. That removes most of what a page like this usually has to explain away.

How we price

On how often we visit and how much of the property we check. Not on what your house is worth, not on its square footage, and not on how far away you live. Cost is driven by time on site and distance driven, and cadence and scope are the only things that move those. A price you cannot check for yourself is one you end up arguing about.

The commission, stated plainly

When a visit turns up work, we refer it to a trade and we take a commission on what you pay them. Roughly a tenth of the job. You are told at the point of referral, not in a footnote, and you are free to use somebody else entirely. Nobody has ever been made worse off by knowing how their advisor is paid.

Why we still will not do the work

Because we hold keys to empty houses, and a company that profits from the repairs it recommends has an obvious reason to recommend more of them. The commission is disclosed; the conflict is removed. Those are different things and we do both.

What we will not sell you

A plan you do not need. If you are mostly at the property and somebody local can get in, we will say so and lose the sale. We also will not manufacture urgency out of a finding, or describe a normal seasonal thing as a problem because it makes a better report.

Honestly

What we do not know yet

A new company that sounds certain about everything is a company doing something else.

  • We are new. There are no customer reviews on this site because there are no customers to have written them.
  • We are quoting by hand while we work out what a route really costs, rather than publishing a rate we might have to walk back.
  • We are confirming with brokers what BC vacancy clauses actually require, instead of repeating the general claim you will find on other sites.
  • The sample report page is empty because we will not build one from a property that does not exist.

Every one of these becomes a real answer as the business does real work. Until then the honest version is the one on the page.

No invented numbers

Nothing on this site is a placeholder

No star ratings, no roofs-preserved counters, no satisfaction percentages, no testimonials with invented names and towns. Not because they would be hard to write, but because the first one you publish is the moment nothing else on the site can be trusted either.

When there are real reviews, real reports and real rates, they will appear here with the same detail we would want to see ourselves.

Ask us something awkward

If we cannot answer it plainly, that is worth knowing before you hand over a key rather than after.
